My Symphony...

I always wanted to sing a song

it has been my wish for so long

just couldn't get my voice in place

when everything around is so misplaced.

I needed a fair reason

to devote my life to

needed some mission

and someone as a guide too.

This world is really strange

keeps on going at its own pace

never ever lingers for anyone

even when resources seem so less.

Things just keep on happening

for no apparent reason

that's what people feel

blinded by their own scepticism.

No one seems to care

when things go out of control

untill destiny hits them hard

and scares a part of their soul.

What can I do and

why should I care

when I am just better

and part of a creamy layer.

Everyone has his own way

then why should I change mine

It's just not my duty

no one gave me any sign.

Often people totally forget

as they play a defeated man

sooner or later those who win

are those who think they can.

So it's foolish to wait for the right moment

and for the things that always go wrong

no point in rusting the instruments

but should make moment right by my song.

The swing....

Two small kids who

get along very well

one little boy

and a girl with a pony tail.

The boy was very lazy

who just hated school

to attend, he needed compny

what others would call a fool.

No matter what others say

she was always there

whenever he cried

or wanted his joy to share.

Both were different characters

that would say any human

both with different mindset

yet something was very common.

The school got over

and both took different leap

yet they were there

if anyone ever slip.

The days passed by

and calenders were changed

distances were amplified

yet the bond remained.

The boy was a tough guy

who hardly showed an emotion

The girl was very sensitive

yet a fight was a rare occasion.

They used to play on a swing

that still stand there

he was eagerly waiting

but she wanted to go elsewhere.

This boy is a young man now

and the girl is his sis

who is going to get married

and whom he will surely miss.

MISTAKES- A JOURNEY TOWARDS EVOLUTION

MISTAKES ADD JOY TO LIFE….

Here is a thought that came to me yesterday. I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about a mistake made during a message. Later on I realized that mistakes or imperfection actually add a funny side to life. Imagine what life would be like had everybody been just perfect. Life would have been just a mechanical work. As they say it’s because of sorrow that we can actually enjoy the feeling of joy. Mistakes actually become a funny part off course if taken that way.

 

Now here is a broader perspective to the thought. Definitely am not suggesting that it’s right to make mistakes. It remembers me of that old line, “Mistake is only a mistake if made twice.” So we all know that to err is human. It’s absolutely okay to make a new mistake everyday. If you think about mimics or funny actors, you will realize that they actually make us laugh by mistaken parts about life. We laugh at a joker in the circus because he dresses in an imperfect manner. However it’s not right to make same mistake again and again. Now the question is how should we approach a mistake?

 

Here is what I feel. First we need to remember that nobody is perfect. Science people know that in theories perfect is something that never exists. So it’s really important to see the funny side of a mistake and not be judgmental. I have seen many people who are just waiting for other people to make mistake and then make an issue out of it. Well that’s just a seek mind at work. Attitude is something that we can always choose. So what I mean is if someone commits a mistake see the funny side. Make people laugh. Remember making someone laugh is not an easy thing to do. It’s a skill that anyone can learn with right mental attitude. Also learn from other people’s mistake.

 

That was how we should approach when someone commits a mistake. Now I will put my thoughts on what person who commits mistakes should do. Well first of all don’t read further if you are a person who cares too much about other people’s opinion, how people will react and what they will say and what you should do to please them. My blog is for like minded people, people who run their own race. As when you run your own race you are incredibly open to learn from your mistakes. So who are of this kind they are not worried about public opinion and being socially correct. So what I believe one should do is first of all he should also see the funny side and understand that to err is human. Then to learn and rectify. Ultimately it’s then that we evolve. Again I would like to talk about alchemy on point of evolution. As Paulo Coelho puts it “To become an alchemist, he needs to understand that alchemy is not about turning lead into gold. It’s actually a process of evolution. Evolving along with the things around you. In case of metals gold is the ultimate evolved state.”

 

So stop worrying about the public opinion. Make a new mistake each day. Make people laugh. See the funny side of a mistake. Accept and learn from a mistake and evolve.Yes make sure that we don’t make same mistakes again! Well while writing this article I am making a mistake of delaying my time to study. But life is about priorities and still writing is something that lies very high in my priority queue!

People...

As we know we meet different people everyday. Some just go by. Some make an impact on our lives. There are different people with different attitudes, different mindsets. Some are apparently good, some bad. It all completes a balance in the end. I have a habit of watching people’s faces and their personality closely. It talks a lot about them. One can get a good review of one’s characters if he observes these things closely.
I generally don’t rely on anyone easily. I am not very free to talk in early meetings either. As for me it’s very important to know how someone really is. Many people say that I am reserved and don’t talk freely but well then again ask people who are close to me. I have seen many people who start to rely even from the first meeting and many times later regret that they failed to recognize someone. Well I myself like to play safe!
Now about physical characters that talk a lot. First of all eyes. One’s confidence, his mindset can be judged from eyes alone. People with true heart talk with eye to eye contact. They have very calm eyes. They have a capability to control things and this confidence is clearly shown in their eyes. When someone lies he is bound to avoid the eye contact. Some people carry an astonishing glaze in eyes. Then people with balanced mind set have steady look. They know what they are talking about. Then there is one interesting set of people. These are not up to anything bad but they have fears. It can be anything. They want to do something good but don’t have the courage. These people are low on confidence. They will try to avoid eye contact but there is a hint of fear that can be seen. Majority of people are of this kind and they are very often mistaken for the bad people due to their body posture. Now talking about bad people, these have a rage or an aggressiveness in their eyes. These are also confident but what separates them from good one’s is the lack of calmness in the eyesight. There are many other aspects that are required to be observed. Well let me make one thing very clear here that I am not someone who is very knowledgeable in this area and this is just what I feel and yes most of my predictions are right. To sum up I will say mouth speaks what you want to while eyes talk about what you really are.
Also there are other aspects that are required to be taken into consideration. How one stands for instance. Straight legs, head held high and off course square shoulders is a good example of person high on confidence. Some people stand on either of the legs, arms straight down these are casual people. So far health and confidence are the factors that can be measured from stance. People, who are tired, are bound to have low shoulders weak legs.
Person’s tone talk about his/her mind set at that moment. People who are confident speak slowly yet steadily. Their sentences are clear and straight forward. People who talk very low are of two kinds. One is people mentioned above who are not up to anything bad but they are just confused or low on confidence. Then other kind is those who have something going on in their mind. You really need to listen to the tone closely to distinguish between them. As we know tone is very often used for different expressions. There still are a lot more things that talk about someone. Let me tell you if you start observing things I mentioned you will certainly come up with lot more distinguishing factors. Here I have just discussed about general categories of people. There a lot more than we think and as we go on observing we get astonishing founding.

The Greatest Simplicity…

This is not one of those times when there will be lot of morals and values. There will not be big verses and no long words required to be checked from dictionary before you use them. As the name suggests this will be a discussion of simple things.

First of all I want to define the word simple. This word does not refer to nature of an event or thing but it refers to the attitude. Something which seems to be simple to one can be difficult for others. So “Simple” is not an adjective, the way it’s generally used, but is thinking or mindset.

I will start with things that are said to be simple. I would include eating, sleeping, talking etc. Then I want to make a note of things that are suppose ably great. I would include building a bridge, climbing Everest, writing a thesis etc.

The reason I am stating these things in advance is because I want to talk about how greatest things are really simple for someone who does it. For instance human body performs thousands of operations involuntarily. Is climbing such a great thing? Is building a bridge such a great thing when compared to a child who grows on to become an adult?

So the million dollar question, if these things are not really so great then why are they called so? (And please note that often the word greatness is used to describe the level of difficulty) Why right from the childhood it’s imbibed that “we are simple people and greatness belongs to the chosen few”?

This is because most of us don’t really understand “greatness”. Greatness lies in simplicity. I don’t want to go into the philosophical aspects of the subjects. I want to comment on the general human tendency. According to science every man that walks this earth is different or “special”. Then why no kid is really raised as if he is an asset? The early measures, for security and social growth, that are applied during childhood not only deteriorate the mindset but also make him believe that being great is something, that is for him, virtually impossible.

Greatness is never bound to the age. Greatness is not bound to educational degrees. Greatness can never be based upon physical features. As a matter of fact greatness is the simplest commodity that can be achieved by anyone.

People praise “Dnyaneshwar” for writing “Dnyaneshwari” at such young age but no one appreciates a kid who makes surprisingly intelligent but politically incorrect comment. Teacher tells stories of Edisons and Einsteins who achieve things despite having reading or writing problems but they don’t seem to help pupils who actually have such problems. Everyone appreciates how so called great people were once simple. Yet no one buys the fact that every simple man can go on to become a great.

This is like that “four minute mile”. Earlier it was believed that no one can cross barrier of completing a mile lap in four minute until one runner finished it in less than four minutes. It’s this belief that “Greatness belongs to chosen few” stops many of us from actually achieving greatness in different fields. After all “Greatness is the greatest simplicity”!

PEACE

Many centuries ago,
high above the sky,
God was bestowing gifts,
to all livings including man.

He let away wealth,
He let away beauty,
He let away strength,
to make a few mighty.

Lions received courage,
men received brains,
reptiles had venums,
as deadly as it could get.

He did give hope,
He did give faith,
and he gave away passion,
some had more some got less.

He was not biased,
while offring different strengths.
Yet he kept something to him,
for us to conquer ourselves.

Faith gives a way to live,
and hope gives a reason.
Strength gives mightiness,
for everyone who has fallen.

Poor people living in huts,
and rich in their palaces,
all keep on saying that,
what they have is still less.

So that's the challenge
to complete in our life
and life will be truly lived,
if that peace is achieved.....

ON SUCCESS AND FAILURES….

No matter what people say, Success and praise are two things that matter most to any human being. In today’s rat race everyone wants to succeed no matter how. Sad thing about this situation is that definition of success has changed long way. Today by success what one expects is, he has to beat the others. No one seems to be striving for achieving perfection or self evolution. Like in today’s education system right from childhood a student is said to be clever if he manages to score more than others. It’s true that everyone needs money and that’s why one thinks about overtaking others. Paulo Coelho puts it so rightly in his best seller “The Alchemist” that “No one can become Alchemist if he is just looking for an invention which would turn iron into gold. It’s a process of evolution where gold is the ultimate state. During evolution he has to evolve himself along with things around him and then only he could achieve alchemy.”

During learning to ride bicycle people keep saying don’t worry about falls it’s failures through which you learn. I don’t believe in this philosophy. Why think about failures. Definitely failures are inevitable part of life. Yet it’s initial mind set I am talking about. As Robin Sharma says, “It’s initial steps that count, the power of start.” So now I would modify initial statement as “Learning to ride bicycle is not about falling but rising again no matter how many times you fall.” Don’t even think about missed chances as failures but look at them as stepping stones. It’s not failures through which one learns but it’s the mind set.

There are people who want to be successful at any cost. Also there are some who are not sure about themselves they also want to succeed but they think about failures first and lose their fire. Then there is this third kind who keeps doing things that they believe is right staying loyal to their heart. They believe in famous verse, “KARMANYE VADHIKARASTE MA FALESHU KADACHAN.” I would like to mention J.R.D. Tata. Tata industries is a firm who does think about coworkers and as mentioned earlier they evolve themselves along with people around them. It’s this third kind due to which the world evolves!

TRAIN THOUGHTS....

Often when I go by train, I like to stand by the door enjoying the cool breeze, watching the green grass wave as the train passes, observing fogged mountains and chilled waterfalls they carry. Many thoughts flash in my mind which always I decide to make a note of but never really did it however this time I decided to give it a shot.

We all meet different people everyday with different mind sets different attitudes. Some trying to be happy, some fighting to be happy, some faking to be happy yet seldom of them really happy. It’s not like everyone has really huge problems still no one really satisfied with life. Everyone is so busy finding what they don’t have, they don’t really see what they do posses. I think we ask too much from life before completing our part in the play. In offices we keep complaining about amount of work although that is what we get paid for, in classes we keep complaining about how boring the subjects are although they are the reason we are there, during long tours we keep complaining about how long the road is never really watching the beautiful display of nature. Life is about living the moment. No one can ever be happy if his or her happiness depends on certain sets of conditions like no problems amputee money good degrees and all. To me happiness is something that depends on us .

Who doesn’t have problems? Secret is enjoying the process of solving different problems. As a famous story says happiness is enjoying the world around you while balancing a drop of water in the palm. We can’t change our fate but we can change how the way we face different things. We can be weary and tense or we can be calm and happy it’s us who can make difference not the situation laid by the destiny.

We don’t really “live” life. We need to be happy with what we have as we never know what we have is something others don’t!

One may get false impression from above that I am talking about just being stable and not asking more from life no, everyone should definitely strive for the excellence. I am just saying that don’t get overwhelmed by the problems. Wind and water both flow across the mountain. What wind does is it keeps flowing in his own direction and ends up getting blocked by the mountain. However when water encounters some obstacle it changes its path for a while and keeps flowing, after some years or so the obstacle is no where to be seen. We can be wind we can be water!

Continuing the topic, we do meet some people who like experimenting they do something going off the track they are mad about their goals they are ready to take as many efforts as required and yet they are happy with what they are doing. They may not have lot of money or lot of degrees yet we can feel a sense of joy a sense of achievement as we talk with them. Many call such people to be crazy for me these are the people who really live their life. They can enjoy comforts they can sit down comfortably watching TV however they try new things and enjoy the process. Had the comb decided to enjoy worm healthy comforts inside the bean it would have never gone on to become a giant oak tree. However it breaks the turf, fights with the weather and one day becomes a huge tree.

It’s your own life so do not let any stupid problems ruin it. Enjoy every moment and live your dreams. Do not care about what people say be faithful to your heart. In difficult moments behave like the water and don’t just sit down enjoying comforts of bean but break the turf and enjoy the adventures.

SELF BELIEF....

In the heart of dark night,
when everything is cold.
No light to be seen,
and no road to walk along.

There is no one to trust,
and no one to bank on.
No strenght in the limbs,

and a certain defeat than it ever was.

Enemy comes charging in,
and darkness is about to engulf.
a small light flickers,
and rays of hope puff.

However dark the night be,
and however grave the danger is.
It's better to die fighting,
than give up without trying.

You should trust your God,
and believe in good dids you did.
don't give up on your faith,
as help comes to those who believe it.

If you have faith,
there is no late
war never ends,
untill someone wins.

So try till the end,
with faith in your abilities
your win will be certain,
if you yourelf believe it!!
